All Saints' Outreach
We respond to Christ's love for us and His charge to "Feed my sheep", by serving others. We invite you to join us in the following outreach activities:
All Saints' Neighborhood Playground We provide a fun, safe place for local children to play. It is used and appreciated by many.
Babies In Need 500 babies are born every month in Vancouver. About 30 of them are born to mothers who have very little! They lack clothes, blankets, diapers, car seats, etc. for their new babies. We assemble new and used clothes, blankets, and extras into gift packs. We include a gift card, a pamphlet of Home Prayers for Little Children, a car seat safety sticker, a storybook, tips on reading to children, and a booklet of support, helpful ideas, and free services. We also provide 13 infant car seats each month. Many local churches, groups, and individuals have joined us since 1999. Please visit www.babiesinneed.org to learn more about this ministry.
Northwest Harvest South This ecumenical food warehouse and gleaning coalition obtains food and essential household goods to be distributed through Southwest Washington food banks. We collect canned food and staples all month long. They are offered to God on the first Sunday of the month, and then delivered to NWHS. We also pass a silver offering plate for NWHS on first Sundays. This cash is used for volume purchases by Northwest Harvest South.
Toys, Mittens & Scarves Every December we collect many toys, mittens and scarves for people in local homeless shelters.
OUTREACH BEYOND OUR REGION
Episcopal Charities Appeal The ECA supports over 30 ministries in Western Washington. It responds to a broad spectrum of human need - food, shelter, health care, legal help, Aids ministries, end-of-life support, mental health, prison ministries, orphaned children, seafarers, refugees, and more.
Episcopal Relief and Development ER-D responds to worldwide human needs: hunger, lack of economic opportunities, disease and health promotion, and disasters. We help prevent malaria in Africa through the Malaria Net Program.
To join us, please email All Saints' Office or give us a call at (360)573-8106.
