OTHER VIRTUAL SERVICES

St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral offers virtual Sunday Eucharist Services at 11:00am and Compline at 9:30pm. All are welcome and there is no service fee to log on.

Any member or visitor with internet access can attend the VIRTUAL WORSHIP SERVICES either (1) through a live-stream internet connection during the actual service, or (2) by accessing the archived service later – like you would any online video.

The option to download the Service Bulletin, which provides the particular service’s prayers and hymns for that service, allows full participation from home. You will find the link for the bulletin right above the video if you are live-streaming. On archived videos, their YouTube channel offers a link in the content underneath the “Share” feature.  Access both the live-stream and archived videos here:  https://saintmarks.org/worship/live-stream/

A SPECIAL TREAT: At 9:30pm each Sunday evening at St. Mark’s, the all-male Compline Choir (a beloved Seattle institution since 1956) sings the last monastic office of the day in a beautiful, meditative service. In addition to the life-stream link above, this also can be streamed online at king.org.

Never live-streamed before? Don’t worry. It generally is effortless.

OUR VISION

All Saints Community welcomes and embraces all people to journey with God, with us, and with each other along the Spirit Path, growing and learning together. A joyful, full life is given to us by the Holy Spirit. It overflows in our worship, fellowship and outreach.

All Saints Episcopal Church Vicar, Joseph Scheeler, is a follower of the philosophy of “embracing radical hospitality.” What this means in lay terms is that ALL are welcome to fully participate in the spiritual life at All Saints, prior to becoming a formal church member. Symbolizing a formal commitment to membership would be receiving the sacrament of Baptism, or the Rite of Reception into the Episcopal Church for those already baptized in another Community of Faith. Those who wish to worship and volunteer in our community or outreach activities simply join through their participation. Being an inclusive community is at the core of All Saints ministry.

All Saints Episcopal Church welcomes all, no matter where they find themselves on their journey of faith. “Father Joe,” as he prefers to be addressed, envisions a church that is a safe and authentic community in which to explore God’s infinite goodness and grace as revealed in the life and continuing revelation of Jesus Christ.

WORSHIP NOTES (In-person services only)

If you would like to join us at services – but worry about what to do when – here are the aids we use to enhance our worship:

  • Service Bulletin— Following The Book of Common Prayer. Prayers of the People are contributed by church members.
  • Lectionary Insert— contemporary collect (prayer) and Scripture readings for the day.
  • The Hymnal 1982 (blue book).
  • All Saints Songbook—handed out at the door when it will be used.
  • The Book of Common Prayer—BCP (red book). Used for occasional services.

We generally stand (as we are able)… To sing, hear the Gospel and say the Creed.

We sit… To listen to other Bible readings and the sermon.

We stand or kneel… To pray.

ALL ARE WELCOME AT THE ALL SAINTS TABLE…

When communion is offered, we share bread and wine as Jesus asked of us at the Last Supper. You may consume the bread immediately and drink from the common cup, or you may hold the bread and have the chalice bearer dip it in the cup. If you prefer not to receive Communion, please come forward and simply cross your arms over your chest to receive a blessing.

Children

Children are welcome at all services of the church. Sunday School and our Preschool Learning Center are also offered during the first part of the service. These are safe places to learn about God, be valued and ask questions. They are held downstairs just off the parish hall. (Please see our Safe Church Program.)
